But that was before we find out that all of Frank's prison buddies have actually gone over to the LL side, thanks to some, ahem, monetary encouragement. For once, it seems like Lucious has actually got Cookie's back and is putting his own life at risk for hers. Lucious also pulls a fast one on Frank, who thinks he's got the upper hand when threatening not just Cookie, but the entire Lyon clan. Lucious skypes in from jail (is that a thing?) to let his family know that he's won, dropping "Game over, b*tches" like its a hot mic - leading us to wonder if he's been taking lessons from the erstwhile Cece Drake/Charlotte DiLaurentis. With that, let's jump right in to season 2. And anyone hoping to keep Lucious out of the game. And with the star witness in Lucious's murder case conveniently dispatched, that could mean rough seas for the prosecution.
Except the fact that after a physical fight with Andre, Lucious's right-hand man Vernon met his demise at the hands of Andre's wife Rhonda. With Jamal at the head, one Lyon son is happy (or at least as happy as a guy can get when his homophobic father backhanded compliments him into a role of power), but Hakeem and Andre aren't quite as pleased - and they're planning a hostile takeover with the help of Cookie and Anika (the two best frenemies anyone could ever have, emphasis on the 'enemies' part). He'll be starting the new season in an orange jumpsuit.
